Construction started on the Monza circuit in 1922 and was finished in less than six months. The Italian Grand Prix was the third permanent race circuit after Indianapolis and Brooklands. The Monza circuit is a colossal 10 km, with an oval banked track, influenced by previous road racing circuits.

The Italian Grand Prix site has three separate tracks – the 6km Grand Prix track, a crumbling 4km high speed circuit with steep banking and the 2.5km Junior track. Major track features include the Variante Ascari, the Curva Parabolica, and Curva di Lesmo. The high speed Curva Grande, is straight after a slow corner but is usually hurtled round flat out by the Monza Grand Prix cars. The list of awful accidents and celebrated victories at the Italian Grand Prix is long, and all merge to make Monza circuit one of the most magical places on the F1 calendar. The Italians call Monza “La Pista Magica” the magical track, and it is plain to see why. Join us at the Monza Grand Prix with a marvellous tailor made Monza F1 package and we’ll look forward to seeing you at the Italian Grand Prix 2013.
